CCS 2 Combi Charging Socket

CCS (Combined Charging System) is a standard used for fast charging of electric vehicles. CCS2 is the second generation version of CCS and is generally widely used for electric vehicles in Europe and North America.

The CCS2 Combo charging socket allows electric vehicles to charge both AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current). These sockets include a type 2 port for plugging in an AC charging cable and a DC fast charging port.

CCS2 Combo charging sockets feature a DC port that can also support other fast charging standards such as CHAdeMO. This allows owners of CCS2 compatible vehicles to use different fast charging networks.

CCS2 Combo charging sockets are usually found at fast charging stations and allow electric vehicles to charge their batteries in a shorter time. The CCS2 standard is an important step to standardize and expand the charging infrastructure of electric vehicles, making the use of electric vehicles easier and more widespread.
